The PLA 07 style military boots and the US Marine Corps Belleville 550st military boots, as two well-known individual equipment, are closely watched by the majority of military fans. In the previous article, the author conducted a detailed evaluation on the authentic/imitation PLA 07 military boots and Belleville 550st military boots. Here, you might as well compare it in another dimension to see the similarities and differences between the PLA 07 style military boots and the US Marine Corps Belleville 550st military boots.

(PS: For convenience, the PLA 07 style military boots will be referred to as "07 style" and the US Marine Corps Belleville 550st military boots will be referred to as "550st" below)

These two pairs of boots are a combination of "leather + nylon fabric". The 07 style is black smooth leather, and the 550st is wolf brown suede leather. According to different combat environments, black and wolf brown each have camouflage advantages. Combining the combat/exercise needs of recent years, the US military (strategic deployment is mainly concentrated in the arid desert regions of the Middle East) has adopted wolf brown and khaki individual equipment in large quantities. For our army, there are not many operations/exercises involving arid desert areas in recent years, so it is reasonable to use black as a camouflage color for military boots. One more thing, the 07 style is basically the same as the previous generation jungle boots of the US military. Needless to say, the classic degree of the American jungle boots, although this kind of military boots have been retired, but still can see some US soldiers on the battlefield.

The coverage area of the 550st leather part is larger than that of the 07 style, and the upper part of the boot is also about 2cm higher than the 07 style.

In contrast to the rubber outsole, the 550st uses Vibram rubber outsole, and the 07-style rubber outsole is developed in China. For most domestic military boots, the rubber outsole has a big rubber smell, and this pair of 07 is no exception
